A greenfield project to build out a Data Platform for internal and external users.

Worked on the design and implementation of the platform built on the cloud. The platform provided its consumers with a dimensional-modelled (Kimball) which consumed data from both real-time and batch sources.

Highlights

  • Real-time reporting empowered by steam analytics and Event Hubs
  • Orchestration using Azure Automation, Azure Functions
  • Containerisation using Docker
  • Facilitated easy adaption of containers with custom Powershell modules, providing single command environments.
  • Implemented agile CI/CD using Docker, Azure Dev Ops(VSTS), UnitTesting Framework (tSQLt), End2End Integration-Tests (Custom Test Harness), Octopus.
